MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
Ryan Kjos came to Texas in 1991 as a member of the University of Texas Longhorn Baseball Program, and has been involved in the Texas baseball community ever since. During his career as a Longhorn, he was named 1st Team All Southwest Conference and made two appearances in the College World Series. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics, where he played through the AAA level before injury ended his professional career. Having discovered an affinity for coaching and private instruction during his off seasons, he decided to make youth baseball his next career. Assisting in the opening and running of baseball facilities in Dallas and Austin prepared him to join forces with Steve Swartz to open Triple Play Sportsplex in Georgetown, Texas, in 2005. Having earned his degree from UT in Kinesiology with a focus on Biomechanics and a minor in Education, he continues to stay up to date on the latest research and methodology. He has been called upon to share his knowledge as a featured speaker at seminars such as the Central Texas Sports Medicine Conference. EMAIL RYAN

Lyle Gonzales first connected with Triple Play Sportsplex as a player under the coaching of Ryan Kjos and Steve Swartz. Having started in select baseball at age 10, he competed in high school as a multisport athlete, lettering in both baseball and track. His experiences in baseball led him to believe that all players can not only build skill and succeed on the field, but that participation in select baseball can help develop character and build confidence for life. Lyle returned to Triple Play in 2012 as an instructor, with expertise that extended to high level fitness and Martial Arts. In addition to coaching and providing one on one instruction in baseball, he offers kids and adults the opportunity to better themselves through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing.
